February 20th 2010

Due to popular demand, the Club Pairs League entry list will remain open until March 24th so as to coincide with the mixed AGM. With over fifteen pairs already subscribed for next season it is advisable to add your interest ASAP as numbers may well have to be limited.
 

February 13th 2010

A reminder to all that the Club Pairs League entry list will close on March 1st. Would anyone interested in joining this years competition please form your team and add your names to the list prior to this date.
Equally important. If you are already on the list but wish to withdraw your interest, then please remove your name(s) prior to the closing date.

Please Note. The Bowls club mixed AGM has been re-scheduled from the 17th March to the 24th March.
The meeting will commence at 8pm. 
All Southbourne bowls club members are encouraged to attend. 
Any person with an interest in joining the Bowls Club are more than welcome to join us.

Southbourne Bowls Club enjoyed their annual dinner and presentation night on Friday at the British Legion Club, Hayling Island. Congratulations go to Club Secretary Dave Young for his hard work in organising the evening and the thanks of all at Southbourne go to Chris and Marion Rolph who attended as guests of honour.

As we edge closer to February, our attention will soon turn towards the new outdoor bowls season and the challenges that will surely bring.

2010 is a special year for Southbourne as we look forward to celebrating our 90th year as a Bowls Club. 
The committee has been working hard during the Winter months to organise special events to help with these celebrations; more details on these to follow.

The new club shirts have been ordered and will be with us for the start of the season. They are to be presented by shirt sponsors 'The Beijing Palace' at one of the special events.

As the weather improves, we once again ask for the support of club members to assist in preparing the grounds and facilities for this special 90th year season. Details of work parties, etc, will be posted in the clubhouse. Please assist if you can.

The design for Southbourne's new club shirts, shown above,  has been finalised and will depict the Clubs logo on the left hand side and that of shirt sponsor 'The Beijing Palace' on the right. The shirts will be supplied by Kaylo Prosport of Bournemouth.

Southbourne Bowls Club are pleased to announce a new partnership with the Beijing Palace Restaurant who have generously agreed to act as 'club shirt sponsors' for the next three years. The restaurant, which specialises in Peking and Szechuan cuisine, is highly recommended and provides an important service to the local community and beyond.
