Disappointment for Southbourne as an 8-2 victory at home to Witterings B.C. in the last Gazette league fixture of the season is not enough for promotion to the first division. Commiserations as well to Witterings who also fall short of the top two spots. However, congratulations must go to Worthing BHP and Crablands who deservedly will take their place in the top division next year.

An 8-2 away victory against Bognor in the Gazette League keeps Southbourne's promotion challenge alive. All ten points from their final game at home to Wittering next Saturday will ensure a return to Division 1 for next season either as runner-up or, dependant on shot difference, as Champions.
