The clubs 50th Anniversary was celebrated with fixtures against the English Bowling Association & the Sussex County Bowling Association.

Ladies Section Formed 1975

Southbourne Ladies are affiliated to the Sussex County Women's Bowling Association & the English Women's Bowling Association.

New Artificial Green Laid 1977


Southbourne install one of the first artificial greens in the south of England and celebrate with an opening fixture against the Sussex County Bowling Association.

Members and their families travel to the west country for the week of the annual open tournament held in Torquay.


Isle Of Wight Tours

May Bank holidays saw the club visit Little Canada on the Isle of Wight for fixtures with clubs such as Ryde, Sandown, Shanklin, Ventnor, Cowes & Bembridge.
